CyberCat Cam changes your microphone voice live in the browser, with presets like Male Young, Female Old, Cyber and Broadcast Elite, plus pitch and formant controls. The changed voice is kept in step with your video so it matches your mouth.
Steps for OBS
- Sign in and open Voice Engine (or the Dashboard while live). Allow microphone access.
- Pick a voice preset and fine-tune pitch, formant and mix. Use the monitor control to hear yourself.
- Go live with Clean output, then capture that window in OBS. Add the browser's audio as an Application Audio Capture source (Windows) or route it with a virtual audio device.
- Record or stream from OBS as usual.
Steps for Zoom
- Set up OBS as above and click Start Virtual Camera; choose "OBS Virtual Camera" in Zoom's video settings.
- For sound, enable CyberCat Monitor and use your operating system to route browser playback to a virtual audio cable (for example VB-Audio Cable on Windows or BlackHole on Mac). Pick that cable's output as Zoom's microphone; use headphones.
- Compare Zoom noise suppression and automatic audio processing settings if effects sound muffled. Original Sound for Musicians can reduce processing where available; check the result with a recipient rather than assuming one setting suits every microphone.
Voice.ai voices
If you have a connected Voice.ai voice, you can type a line and play it into your live output. Typed clips do not move your mouth — for lip sync, talk live with a preset.
Honest limits
- A virtual audio cable is a separate free app; Zoom cannot pick up browser audio on its own.
- In our tests the voice-to-mouth gap was about 29 ms, under what most people notice. Extra apps in the chain (like the Voice.ai desktop app) add delay we cannot measure.
- Presets change pitch and tone; they do not clone a specific real person's voice.
